30/09 Use of drama to convey character

September 2022 War Horse During Unit One we were exploring different openings in a range of books. We then wrote an alternative opening to War Horse.

13th May 2022 Another fantastic local library visit and they had a brilliant treasure hunt ready for us to engage in. It was a great way to get to know how the library is organised.

Our recent visit to Bircotes Library18th March . It was so great to be able to spend time in our local library again.

O3/10 Getting stuck into exploring newspaper headlines

290921 Using our ICT skills to research facts and images for our independent write up. Our focus for this unit will be producing a non chronological report on Victorian Workhouses, which will end our second unit.

Through the use of drama, we explored the characters feelings, actions and motives. We worked in small groups to create scenes using freeze frame.

For our first unit we worked on character descriptions from Street Child. This is our working wall at the end of our unit.
